I started this painting in the summer some time, and in between not having time and other art I never got around to finishing it.
If I don't finish a painting in a short timeline there's a good risk of me getting bored with it, which is sort of what happened with this one, but I picked it up again in November for whatever reason, fiddled with it and it finished it.
This is Eros, the god of love in Greek mythology (though better known for his Roman role as Cupid), he is the son of Aphrodite and Ares. This was inspired by my browsing through Bouguereau paintings on my harddrive, and then re-inspired by a Dollfie I had who was named Eros

Minuet of Forest

A little while ago I fell pretty ill, I was bedridden for a good part of 2 weeks, but still I wanted to do some art!
Not having much energy I figure I'd finish this piece that has been lying around for months untouched.
For those who don't know, and have never played the games, this is Link from Legend of Zelda: ocarina of time.
One of my favorite games of all time~ It's old and the graphics are terrible compared to today's standards,
but the game is so amazing I still bust out my N64 to play anyway hehe~
This is Link sometime after the end of the game, when he returns to being a kid... though he's neither kid link or adult link in this image, I wanted to paint him somewhere in-between
I didn't keep his clunky boots on him because I thought his feet would be really cute~ he's a fairy boy after all <333

This piece is kind of different for me, it was inspired by really odd dream I had. In my dream the heart of a boy was stolen by a witch, and I had to return it to him somehow. I can't for the life of me remember his name (I think it started with a �K� though...), but in my dream I was nearly petrified when I heard it. It's really all in pieces (like most dreams are) but I remember seeing the boy, and he was beautiful, almost angelic, with this defeated and slightly absent look on his face. In an instant his eyes flickered and his expression changed to perfectly alert and completely mad. That part struck a cord with me, his face barely changing at all, just a split-second deviation from his inattentive gaze, to a fierce and feral glare. Here we obviously have the Mr. Inattentive stare version

I can't really explain anything else about the boy, I think he is fairly young... 16 maybe? He looked that way. I know he looks girly, but I saw him as very beautiful before he turned mad.

This was a commission of a Mr.Josh Bacon's RP character, Nanami. She's a warrior lady type character and I really fell in love with her~ She wanders a lot and travels so her wardrobe has mixed style influences. He described Nanami as young, with fierce pride, but a quiet demeanor. (there was a much larger description given to me, but i thought that part stood out the best!)

I wonder what she�s listening to?

This started as just a practice thing, exercise in anatomy (referenced myself), and i haven't touched painter in a while so i wanted to play around with it too. i like the creamy painty brushes i have in painter~ anyways, i couldn't really leave it alone and kept touching it up, i dont want to take it any further though, i like the brushstrokes and i don't really want to smooth them out.. this ended up being 50% in photoshop and 50% in painter. i'm happy with her legs... not so much her face though. oh well!

aah the details aren't really amazing so i didn't bother saving a close-up (this was pretty quick compared to some of my other CGs and i didn't really fine-tune anything) but if anyone wants i can upload some close-ups when i get home (i'm at my dad's for thanksgiving, yay turkey! and pie!)
